Civil Services Examination (CSP) and Indian Forest Service (IFoS) 2025 Notification and Instructions

  1. Application Dates:


The online application window for both the Civil Services Examination (CSP) and Indian Forest Service (IFoS) 2025 is open from 22nd January 2025 to 11th February 2025.

  1. Examinations Covered:

 

    • Civil Services Examination (CSP) for recruitment into prestigious services like IAS, IPS, IFS, etc.
    • Indian Forest Service (IFoS) for recruitment into specialized forestry services.

 

  1. Mandatory Registration:


All candidates must complete One Time Registration (OTR) before applying. Registration can be done at:

  1. Eligibility Criteria:
    • Age Limit: 21 to 32 years as of 1st August 2025 (relaxation applicable for reserved categories).
    • Educational Qualification: Graduate degree from a recognized university.

 

  1. Examination Structure:
    • Preliminary Exam: Objective-type screening exam.
    • Main Exam: Includes written papers (Essay, General Studies, Optional Subjects) and a Personality Test/Interview.

 

  1. How to Apply:
    Candidates must apply online via the UPSC official application portal:

    During application:
    • Upload essential documents, including matriculation, degree certificates, and caste/disability certificates (if applicable).
    • Provide details of a valid photo ID (e.g., Aadhaar, PAN, Passport).

 

  1. Important Policies:
    • Fee Exemption: Women, SC/ST, and PwBD candidates are exempt from paying the application fee.
    • Correction Window: Open from 12th February 2025 to 18th February 2025 to make modifications in the application form.
    • No Changes Post Submission: Requests for changing optional subjects, exam centers, or withdrawing applications after submission will not be entertained.

 

  1. Admit Card and Communication:
    • Admit cards will be available for download from the official portal before the exam.
    • Candidates must check all details on the admit card and report discrepancies immediately to UPSC.
