Google has revealed, it's latest Android OS version name as
Red Velvet Cake (RVC). Google used to name its Android OS version by the letter
or desert name. The same can be observed from Android OS 1.5, which was named
as “Cupcake”. Till now Google has feasted us by cupcakes, donuts, éclairs,
froyo, gingerbread, honeycomb, ice cream sandwiches, jellybeans, Kitkats,
lollipops, marshmallows, Oreos and Pie.
In the similar lines Android 10 was named as “Quince Tart”, but in
public domain it was not revealed and just populated as Android 10.
Android R
(RVC) was launched as a public beta version recently. RVC includes a number of
interface and functional changes to element, such as notification grouping,
messaging bubbles and a brand new power-off screen.
Android 11 Red Velvet Cake is expected to launch officially in September/October, 2020. Initially, the Android One phones and Google Pixel devices are going to experience the Red Velvet Cake.
